How Mote Works for Your Audience: A Simple Guide

Mote adapts to different apps, making it easy for your students to access your voice notes. Here's a quick breakdown:

With the Mote extension installed

If your students have the Mote extension installed, they'll have a seamless experience in:
🟣 Google Docs
🟣 Google Sheets
🟣 Google Slides
🟣 Google Classroom
🟣 Gmail
🟣 Canvas Speed Grader

Your audience will see Mote icons and can play voice notes directly within these apps. Listeners will also gain access to the above audio player, which offers translatable transcribed messages, read-aloud capabilities, and other accessibility features.

Without the Mote extension installed

Don't worry if your students don't have the extension! Mote still works and provides them with a similar experience.

In Many Apps: Mote links are embedded directly on the page so students can hear your transcribed voice notes without any extra steps.

In Google Slides: Your audio files are embedded right in the slide. Students can play them just like any other audio in a presentation—no extension is needed!

Universal access with Mote

The best part about Mote? Even without the extension, students can click a mote link on any device to listen to your voice note, view the transcript of your message, and translate the content as needed on a separate landing page. After being redirected to this space, listeners can access the same accessibility and inclusivity features of Mote’s dynamic audio player.

Remember, Mote is designed to be flexible and user-friendly. Whether your students have the extension or not, they'll be able to hear your voice, read your words, and engage with your feedback in the way that works best for them!
