Mote is a Chrome extension: roll it out to all staff and students in one install, or enable it for specific student groups. Install the Mote Chrome extension, add the Mote PDF Google Workspace app for accessible PDFs in Drive, and the Mote iOS app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Add users by domain enablement (any matching email can join), CSV upload, or individual email, all from the My School dashboard. Mote honors ClassLink rostering, and classes can be imported from Google Classroom to map students to their teachers.
Yes. Feature Access lets an admin block a feature or default it off, in which case teachers can still enable it for students who need it. Teachers can also manage student access, and use Assessment Mode to restrict features for a set time while a class sits an assessment.
Chrome and Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Classroom, Forms, Gmail), Canvas SpeedGrader, any webpage, PDFs through Mote PDF, and Apple devices through Mote iOS. Mote also supports popular curriculum publisher and e-reader platforms, and we work with district partners to extend support where it is needed.

Mote meets FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, uses TLS v1.2 or higher, and never sells student data.
