Flashcards now have image mode, testing vocabulary through pictures. Try it now:

1. Go to Flashcards in Mote Mastery
2. Select the vocabulary list you want to study, or generate a new one in seconds.
3. Review and share with students - only words with images will be displayed in Image Mode.

There's a new way to master your word lists. Flashcards display a picture on the front of your flashcard. Flipping the card shows the word and an example usage.

Read Aloud now has improved equation handling. ‘Select area to read’ returns accurate speech for mathematical equations. Try it below by:

1. Clicking on the Mote extension to open the Mote Sidebar
2. Navigate to Reading Mode
3. Click ‘Select Area to Read’
4. Drag and select the equation on your page
5. Mote will automatically identify the mathematical equations and read them aloud.

Students can now just ‘Play page’ to read aloud PDFs on Google Drive

Play Page scans and reads the entire page for you, so you don’t need to drag and select. Dictionary support also allows you to select and define any new or complex words.

Try it now:

1. Open a PDF in Google Drive
2. Click on the Mote extension to open the Mote Sidebar
3. Navigate to Reading Mode
4. Click ‘Play Page’
5. Listen to the entire PDF spoken to you
6. Select a word and open the Mote dictionary to look it up

Mote text prediction has been updated with robust phonic spelling and improved grammatical support including:

• Improved awareness of vowel omission. e.g “Spg” suggests “Spaghetti”.
• Students can type words the way they sound. “Komputer” becomes “computer”.
• Predictions follow grammar rules. After “I”, verbs like “am” or “have” appear - never nouns that don’t belong.

7. If the text isn't already inserted in your page, use either copy or drag 'n drop to place the text on the page.

Personalize your Read Aloud experience with 6 paragraph and word highlighting color options!

Changing your Read Aloud paragraph and word highlighting color is simple:

1. Click on the Mote extension
2. Navigate to Reading mode
3. Click Read Aloud
4. Click on either of the colors in the pop-up. The option on the left controls paragraph highlighting color, and the right allows your to change word highlighting color
5. Select your preferred color
6. Now your text will be highlighted in your new choice of color!

4. Select 'Santa Claus'

Students now have an easy and rewarding way to export highlights and vocabulary from any web page. 'Export to Google Docs' creates and populates a new and elegant Doc.

Here's how to use this yourself, or with students:

1. On any webpage, open the Mote Sidebar and select Reading Mode
2. Choose the Highlighter tool, and then use the various different highlight colors
3. Remember you can also highlight vocabulary from the Dictionary tool
4. Once you are finished, click to Export your highlights to Google Docs (you may need to click the refresh button first)
5. A new Google Doc will open and, after a few seconds' wait, will be populated with your highlights, including word illustrations where available.

Text prediction now has even better suggestions - with improved phonetic spelling predictions and greater accuracy:

1. Click on the Mote extension
2. Navigate to writing mode
3. Click text prediction
4. Begin typing in any text box
5. Either type the number of the suggested word that you want, or click on it!

You can now import a class from Google Classroom in just a few clicks! Try it now on the my classes page.

Adding students to your class is now easier than ever:

1. Go to www.mote.com/my-classes
2. Click 'import from Google Classroom'
3. Accept the basic permissions
4. Select the class you want to import

That's it! All of your students will be automatically added to the class. You'll see a list of students already using Mote, and a list of students who will be added as soon as they set up their Mote account.
